Not long ago I wrote a blog that seem to bless most readers and even entertain a few. The gist of it was that we should not show favoritism. I was at a conference speaking and I needed a charger for my iPhone and iPad.  I asked the soundman and he basically blew me off. However when he realized I was a speaker at the event, he suddenly had time for me.

I am begging you to read this! He has more external references in his article than Chacour has in his entire book, most of which is mostly biographical opinion that ignores history. About a year ago I was asked to speak at a conference in Europe.  On the day I was to speak, I was desperate to find a charger for my iPad, as I use it when I preach.  I looked around the big hall for some member of the conference who looked hipster enough, assuming they would have an iPod charger.  The sound team, of course, I thought.

In 1942, the last of the Jews were forced out of Neumarkt (New Market), Germany, a village about 20 kilometers from Nuremburg.  Neumarkt once had a robust, although small Jewish community.  There is a Jewish cemetery and a plaque with a menorah hangs on a building highlighting the fact it was once a synagogue.
